1 1/2 the crib

Parker went down for a nap this morning after breakfast...for 1 1/2 hours...that has to be an all time first. She sleeps through the night but is not good with naps, unless we are in the car.  Hoping we are moving on to a new phase where the two main daytime naps take shape :)

She is also progressing on her food repertoire....she has mastered rice cereal, multigrain cereal, green beans, squash, peas, and sweet potatoes....I decided to start with the veggies so she would eat them before realizing there might be better tasting things out there (if she is anything like me anyways).  She has eaten them all with haste and tonight cried when the sweet potatoes were all gone...I see a sign of more tears to come when we get to apples, bannanas, etc.  I can't blame her.

Hope everyone is having a great is beautiful outside and one of the perks of living up on the mountain is it is cooler than down in at least 5 degrees but felt even cooler than that.  Next week, I'll have pics of Parker in the pool for the first time, so stay tuned.  She loves the bath so I am guessing she is going to have a ball in Gran and Pap's pool.

Fun new toy (for Mommy)

Happy Mother's Day to me!  Happy Mother's Day to me....

The gift from Michael and Parker was in today and I was able to go by and get it....for thise of you non-scrapbookers, you will not get this :)

This is a digital craft cutter which cuts shapes that you can download and, you can basically cut anything you want for a page....super cool.  I am off to continue playing!

Sitting Pretty

Right before we headed to California, Parker decided to delight us with her new talent, sitting up.  When we got back home she had honed her skill and is now an old pro. Here are some pictures of her playing with a stacking toy:

And, Parker says though she enjoys her new found skill, she still enjoys chilling on the sofa...

And of course, this all can just wear one out...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Visiting California

Michael and I went to Carmel Valley, CA last week for his good friend Tim's wedding.  We had a great time and I survived being away from Parker for 4 days.  Here is a picture of us together....

While there we got to see the sights, drive the famous "17 mile drive" where you wind through Pebble Beach (we went in "The Lodge" at the famed Pebble Beach golf club).  One day we had lunch on this beach...

(Not very nice but it is the Pacific Ocean)

And met this bird as he eyed us for our food (look closely, are there 2 legs or one?)

Gotcha!  There are two legs....he fooled us for a minute too!

And one last picture of Michael next to the otter:
